Glass creates an illusion of more space and allows outside features to become part of the interior design. With glass it is possible to link two different spaces together without the barrier of a wall giving you the ability to enjoy your home and garden throughout the year.
Our frameless systems create a contemporary design which safely maximises any view, allowing natural light to spread across the living space. This solution can be used for internal stairs, external balconies, or to act as windbreaks in exposed areas outdoors.
Balustrade posts provide a classic, yet still very popular, design choice. Manufactured using 2.6mm thick walled, 48mm stainless steel for superior strength. This high quality, external grade steel maximises durability and minimises maintenance.
Glass spigots create a modern, minimalist design choice which maximises your view. Glass spigots are a large glass floor clamp that secures the glass vertically. The individual 'feet' allow for natural drainage making it an ideal choice for external areas including patio, and decked gardens, as well as poolside areas.
The possibilities are almost endless. Whether you wish to modernise your home or office space, enhance it or create an eye-catching element in one of your rooms we are here to make your dream come true. Your wish is our command.
Perhaps a tropical landscape in the bathroom? How about a stylish banister or wall art? Or even a state-of-the art room divider?

At Splashbacks of Distinction we can even recreate different surface patterns too. That wood-style surface you always wanted is now possible and it comes with all the advantages of glass. Our customers also love our granite and marble styles which are perfectly stunning.

Wherever you live, your property deserves a little tender loving care from time to time. Everyday wear and tear, kids and pets all take their toll on the interior of our properties.
Sometimes it feels as if we are painting the Fourth Bridge, as the decorating never seems to end. As soon as one room is finished, we have to move onto the next. Walls become caked in grime from mucky fingerprints, or splashes from dogs shaking, but some of our clients have discovered a stylish and novel way to keep their walls clean without the constant round of redecorating.
Glass splashbacks were once the ideal way to keep just our kitchens clean around the cooking and food preparation areas, but now they can be used in so many other parts of the house. We have recently had clients in Barnet who had glass splashbacks installed around their dogs sleeping areas, up the stair walls where the kids always left their finger marks and entrance halls.
The entrance hall is one place that takes a proper punishing if you have dogs. They return from their walk, often covered in mud and the first thing they do is shake. A delightful mixture of mud, hair and dirty water is immediately showered all over the walls. A glass splashback makes the cleanup procedure super easy, so no more ingrained dirt ruining your wall coverings in this vulnerable area.
Although most of our toughened glass products are designed for the interior of your Barnet home, the exterior can benefit too. We have fitted several Juliet balconies and exterior toughened glass balustrades around decking areas or garden ponds in the Barnet area. Our clients have been absolutely delighted with the results too. So, transforming your garden as well as the interior of your Barnet property has never been easier, all it takes is a call to us and we'll advise you as to what results can be achieved.
The London Borough of Barnet is a local authority area on the northern outskirts of London. The borough was formed in 1965 from parts of the counties of Middlesex and Hertfordshire. It is the second largest London borough by population with 389,344 inhabitants as of 2021, also making it the 17th largest district in England. The borough of Barnet covers an area of thirty three square miles, making it the fourth highest of the thirty two London boroughs.
Barnet borders the Hertfordshire district of Hertsmere to the north and five other London boroughs: Camden and Haringey to the southeast, Enfield to the east, as well as Harrow and Brent to the west of the ancient Watling Street. The borough's major urban settlements are Hendon, Finchley, Golders Green, Friern Barnet, Chipping Barnet, Whetstone, and Edgware; there are also village settlements notably Totteridge and Arkley along with rural areas and countryside part of the Green Belt.
The local authority who governs the local area is Barnet London Borough Council, which meets at Hendon Town Hall and has its main offices in Colindale.
The Barnet area covered by the modern borough has a long and rich history. Evidence of first century Roman pottery manufacturing has been found at Brockley Hill and Roman coins from the third and fourth centuries were found at Burnt Oak. Both sites are on the Roman road Watling Street from London to St Albans which now forms the western border of the borough.
Hendon is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, but the districts of Barnet, Edgware and Finchley were not referred to, possibly because these areas were included in other manors.
In 1471 the Battle of Barnet was fought in Monken Hadley, just within the present borough's boundary. It was here that Yorkist troops led by King Edward IV killed the "Kingmaker" Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and his brother, John Neville, 1st Marquess of Montagu.
Barnet has two Grade I listed buildings, both designed by Edwin Lutyens: the Church of St Jude, the parish church of Hampstead Garden Suburb with a Gothic spire and on the opposite side of Central Square, the Free Church, of similar design but with a concrete dome.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a large museum built on part of the site of Hendon Aerodrome, dedicated to the history of aviation, and the British Royal Air Force in particular.
Church Farmhouse Museum on Greyhound Hill in Hendon is a grade II listed 17th century farmhouse used by Barnet Council as an exhibition space and museum until the Council closed it to save money in 2011. Early in 2014 it was given the classification of "vulnerable" by English Heritage after having stood abandoned for almost three years. It now houses units of Middlesex University.
Friern Hospital was a large Victorian psychiatric hospital located in Friern Barnet, which has been converted into exclusive and rather expensive private apartments.
Toughened glass is super easy to keep clean, it's very functional, tough and it looks absolutely amazing. The correct lighting just makes it look even better.
